Service Description

We believe that any teenager willing to give up his or her time to look after other people’s children deserves a reward. For those on the Scout Association Young Leader scheme, we offer free sailing weekends. All we ask for is a contribution to the cost of food. Depending on prior experience, we can accommodate up to four Young Leaders and one adult leader from any scout group or district. We can also provide a mate if needs be. ​ Both the skipper and the mate are DBS checked. The skipper is a Queen's Scout and has held a Wood Badge since 2013. The mate has EduCare Child Protection in Sport and Active Leisure level 2.

Cancellation Policy

We are running a not-for-profit organisation for the benefit of Young Leaders in the Scout Association. We want to keep as many slots available for them as we can. Late cancellations affect our ability to do so. While we will happily discuss and try to accommodate matters beyond your control, our default position is a strict cancellation policy. Our full fees are payable for any cancellation within 14 days before the date of your event unless we are able to fill the slot. We hope you understand. We take health and safety extremely seriously. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with 24 hours notice if it appears to us that the weather or water conditions will prove dangerous.
